Leslie Broudo Mitts, Practice Director
Leslie leads an experiential education and consulting practice that supports Wharton students in developing problem solving skills as it relates to entrepreneurship. The practice serves about 100-125 intellectual property -based entrepreneurial start-ups and transitioning operating businesses each year and operates in industry areas such as Energy, Manufacturing, Health Care IT, and Financial Services. The team consists of about 80 students, senior advisors, and associated expert practitioners, faculty, and staff. Leslie has a background in the diversified telecommunications industry, and previously worked with a small boutique consulting firm, The MAC Group, and then in M&A for Verizon. Leslie is also a founding Managing Director of Phoenician Ventures I and Co-Founder and Partner of the Trident Consulting Group. Leslie received her MBA from the Wharton School (1990) with a double concentration in Operations Research and Management. Leslie is a PhD Candidate in Social Anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research explores entrepreneurship as both a means of self-expression and social ideology.
