Small Business Experts Talk CyberSecurity for Small Business with Wharton SBDC on Knowledge@Wharton SiriusXM 111

Dan Loney, host of Knowledge@Wharton Sirius XM 111 was joined this morning by Ronald L. Plesco, Jr. Esq, National Lead, Cyber Investigations, Intelligence & Analytics at KPMG and Skip Shuda, Business Composer and Co-Founder of PhillyMarketing Labs,  and Therese Flaherty, Director of Wharton Small Business Development Center.

Ron pointed out that according to the Verizon 2013 Data Breach Investigations Report, small and midsize businesses suffered data breaches more often than larger businesses. [1] Other recent studies show that: 77% of small business owners are confident that their businesses are safe from cyber threats [2], but 71% [3] of cyber attacks are lodged against small businesses, and 60% [4] of small businesses which are attached never recover.  Cyber threats are real and always changing.  Nevertheless, Ron and Skip shared smart steps small business owners can take to increase the security of their businesses.
