An Integrated Solution to Build a Scaleable Business
This program is for Entrepreneurs and/or Management teams that have deep technical or industry knowledge in the market in which the business will or does compete and possesses reasonable expectation of intellectual property protection. Many such teams eventually seek venture capital to grow their businesses to have nationwide or global reach. This entrepreneur seeks assistance to apply key business tools and frameworks relating to strategy, operations, marketing and finance to further conceptualize the business.
The process of becoming a Wharton SBDC client starts by filling out the Request Business Consulting Services form. Please fill out this form and a member of our staff will reach out with next steps within 5 business days.
After being accepted as a client of the Wharton SBDC, you will be assigned a consulting team with whom you will meet usually ovber th course of a semester. You will work together with your consultants on a well-defined project focused on achieving meaningful results. These engagements are designed to support the entrepreneur in identifying and beginning to execute the steps that will lead to improvements consistent with the entrepreneur’s business goals. The Wharton SBDC consultants are Wharton MBA candidates and undergraduate business students. Our consultants and clients are supported by our experienced, professional staff.
After a specific project has reached its conclusion, the Wharton SBDC continues to support our clients. When a project is concluded, the client may be supported with advice and other support.
Funding support and resources are provided by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania through the Department of Community and Economic Development; through a cooperative agreement with the U. S. Small Business Administration, and through support from The University of Pennsylvania. All services are extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis.
